Decoding Shailja Tiku - "Beauty with a Purpose"

As a woman of Indian ancestry, I am always proud to represent my culture and my country of origin and to become a mentor for girls who need inspiration. I recently had a phone Interview with a journal in India "Jammu Links" Jammu Links News where I talked about the platform that I would be bringing to the Mrs. International platform. Even though this will be my very first time competing on a national level, I am confident that this is exactly where I need to be because the message here is greater than myself. My passion for creating a mental health awareness really dates back to my background and the anxiety I suffered and looking back, I would have wanted an advocate in life. I am thankful that I have this opportunity with Mrs. International to do something exceptional for younger generations.
